HOMETOWN HAPPENINGS - May
The Crofton Senior Center announces its upcoming events: Crofton Softball and Crofton Little League are having a fundraiser. They are selling sponsorships for t-shirts and are aking for your support. Proceeds will be earmarked for replacing the concession stand and improvements of our softball diamonds. If your business is willing to donate $50 to support the summer youth programs, you can get your business name advertised on the back of the shirt. Contact Nancy Foxhoven to get your business name on the t-shirts and support the program! J & B Photography is a new business located at 1124 W 2nd Street in Crofton. Jamie will be having the studio Open House on Sunday, May 6th at 1pm. Welcome J & B Photography to town and be a part a Ladies Fun Day, including Thirty-one bags, Jewelry, Mary Kay, and more to help Jamie kick off the opening of the J & B Photography studio! The Corps of Discovery Welcome Center will host a ceremony at 2 p.m., May 27, to dedicate the new bricks purchased in memory of loved ones that will be placed along the sidewalk leading to the entrance of the Welcome Center. These 4’x8’ engraved bricks are to honor your loved ones, a favorite charity or a business. For those interested, a $150 donation to the Corps of Discovery Welcome Center by May 12, will ensure your memorial brick will be honored during the ceremony. The CWDC, a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, celebrated its tenth anniversary this past summer and is pleased to be serving the travelers along Hwy 81 no matter what season it is.
