There will be a Wildland Fire Seminar this Friday, February 2nd from 6pm to 10pm at the Crofton Fire Station. Sessions for Elected and Community Officials, Landowners, and Developers address areas of concerns from participants and discuss Firewise. Sessions for Emergency Responders address topics such as incident command, scenarios, Sim Sand Table and Wildland 101. The Saint Rose Unity Supper is Saturday, February 10th at the St. Rose Parish Hall. The theme this year is Superhero Night. Please join St. Rose for the night of parish stewardship, fellowship, fun, and games. If you would like to contribute to the Silent Auction, please contact Wendy Wieseler at 402-358-0414. At the Unity Supper, they will be auctioning off a 1990 Harley Davidson Heritage Softail motorcycle refurbished by Brett's Body Shop in Crofton. Due to the blizzard conditions, the CHS band rescheduled their Buck Burger Night. Stop by Sports Stop on Monday, February 26th from 4:30 to 7:30pm for Buck Burger Night and support Crofton's Band.

The Corps of Discovery Welcome Center has three crazy days of shopping at their I Hate Winter Shopping Blitz on February 17th, March 3rd, and March 17th from 9am to 2pm at the Corps of Discovery Welcome Center. Stop out for a variety of craft and commercial vendors to support local products and small businesses. Crofton Elementary School is currently accepting registration and enrollment information for students who plan to enter Kindergarten for the 2018-2019 school year. Registration packets were mailed to parents/guardians the week of January 22nd. Please contact Mark Wragge, elementary principal, or Suzy Pautler, school secretary at 402-388-4357 if you did not receive a registration packet or if you have any questions.

Crofton's Youth Program meets in the city auditorium after school on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays when school is in session. All school-aged children are welcome to attend. The Youth Program offers activities, sports, and games for kids, and parents are welcome to attend with their children.

Main Street Treasures is a non-profit thrift store operated by volunteers. The store sells clothing, housewares, small furniture, small appliances, lawn & garden items, toys, baby stuff, hunting accessories, and other items. Proceeds benefit the Crofton area. Main Street Treasures is open Wednesdays 10am to 8pm, Thursdays and Fridays, 10am to 6pm, Saturdays 10am to 2pm, and the first Sunday of the month 10am to 1pm.
