Crofton's Youth Program meets in the city auditorium after school on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays when school is in session. All school-aged children are welcome to attend. The Youth Program offers activities, sports and games for kids, and parents are welcome to attend with their children.

Schools are in session, and we would like to remind everyone that school buses are stopping o pick up young school kids. PLEASE obey the law and stop for the buses. The minimum fine assessed for passing a school pus is $500 plus court costs. Please watch for school buses, the lights, and the children, and if you see a person passing a bus with the lights and/or stop sign, please call law enforcement with the license plate number and a description of the vehicle passing.

St. Rose Parish Bazaar and Raffle, Sunday, September 10, 2017 ST. ROSE BAZAAR: (September 10) Serving a roast beef and homemade sausage dinner from 3:00 - 7:30 PM in St. Rose Hall, Crofton. Carryout orders available by calling (402-388-4393) between 4:30 - 6:30 PM. Roast beef, homemade sausage, sauerkraut, mashed potatoes, huge salad bar, pies and desserts. Tickets: Adults $10, Kindergarten-6th grade $5, PreK and younger Free; Cash raffle, bingo, lots of games.

Crofton's Homecoming Parade is Friday, September 22nd at 2pm. This year's theme is Super Heroes. Parade entry forms are available at Farmers & Merchants State Bank, People's Grocery, Steffen Service, Lewis & Clark Mini Mart, Hendrix Law Office, Crofton High School and online at www.crofton-nebraska.com.

Main Street Treasures is a non-profit thrift store operated by volunteers. The store sells clothing, housewares, small furniture, small appliances, lawn & garden items, toys, baby stuff, hunting accessories, and other items. Proceeds will benefit the Crofton area. Main Street Treasures is open Wednesday through Friday, 10am to 6pm, Saturday 10am to 2pm, and the first Sunday of the month 10am to 1pm. Main Street Treasures will be open extended hours for the city-wide rummage sales: Friday, August 25th 10am to 8pm and Saturday, August 26th 8am to 3pm.
