The Crofton band is doing Buck Burger Night on January 22nd from 4:30 to 7:30 at Sports Stop. Funds supporting the band

January 26th Battle of the Bands 7:30pm Crofton Gym. This is a very entertaining event to support area bands.

Crofton Senior Center News:
The Caregiver's Support Group will meet January 10th at 1:30. All caregivers, past and present, at any age, are welcome.
The senior center will have a bake sale and chili feed on January 13th from 4 to 7:30. Chili, ham sandwiches, and cinnamon rolls.
The Senior Center's board meeting will be held Tuesday, January 16th at 8:30am.
The Senior Center's monthly birthday party and bingo will be held on January 17th.
Make sure to check out the Senior Center's menu in the Crofton Journal for delicious and affordable meals.

St Rose School JH Basketball Tournament Saturday, January 27th from 9:00am-5:00pm at the Crofton Elementary Gym

Catholic Schools week kickoff with BRUNCH on Sunday, January 28 from 9:00am-11:30am in the St. Rose Parish Hall. Serving scrambled eggs, ham, hash brown bake, cinnamon/caramel rolls, fruit cup, juice and coffee.

The Saint Rose Unity Supper is Saturday, February 10th at the St. Rose Parish Hall. The theme this year is Superhero Night. Please join St. Rose for the night of parish stewardship, fellowship, fun, and games. If you would like to contribute to the Silent Auction, please contact Wendy Wieseler at 402-358-0414. Bidding will begin at 3:30 that evening. Grand Auction items are coming in fast. Contact Joyce Stevens at 605-661-5736 or Curt Arens at 605-660-3522. Tickets are available by contacting Diane Allen, Farmers and Merchants State Bank, People's Grocery, Crofton Farm Supply, or St. Rose School/Parish Offices. This year's trip is to Las Vegas.

There are three Unity Supper Gift Gathering Parties coming up. Sunday, January 14th, bring a gift and stop after Mass at the St. Rose Hall to enjoy rolls, coffee, and juice and donate your gifts then. Sunday, January 21st, Franny and Sharlene Guenther invite you to their home from 2 to 4pm for a wine and gift card gathering party. Sunday, January 28th, Catholic Schools Breakfast is accepting grand and silent auction donations.

The City of Crofton is offering fitness classes at the city auditorium on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:30pm. The classes are led by certified trainer, Ashley Schurman, and are great for various fitness levels. Inquire at the city office and like the Crofton Fitness page on facebook for more information. Class times may change or be expanded, depending on interest.

The Corps of Discovery Welcome Center has three crazy days of shopping at their I Hate Winter Shopping Blitz on February 17th, March 3rd, and March 17th from 9am to 2pm at the Corps of Discovery Welcome Center. Stop out for a variety of craft and commercial vendors to support local products and small businesses. Come out and beat the winter blues.

Crofton's Youth Program meets in the city auditorium after school on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays when school is in session. All school-aged children are welcome to attend. The Youth Program offers activities, sports, and games for kids, and parents are welcome to attend with their children.

Main Street Treasures is a non-profit thrift store operated by volunteers. The store sells clothing, housewares, small furniture, small appliances, lawn & garden items, toys, baby stuff, hunting accessories, and other items. Proceeds benefit the Crofton area. Main Street Treasures is open Wednesdays 10am to 8pm, Thursdays and Fridays, 10am to 6pm, Saturdays 10am to 2pm, and the first Sunday of the month 10am to 1pm.
